Something different for today
Browsing through one of my favourite photography book, searching for inspiration, I fell in love (again!) with the early 1900’s photography. Immediately I started to think about how I could reach what I was seeing in those photos, because every time I look at that book I’m always fascinated by the expressions on the faces of the people in the portraits, their dresses (❤️), their poses…but also that sense of decay.
In some ways, I always felt a connection with the photo-secession movement; like that, I use photo manipulation to achieve my vision, in this way I can describe my feelings without limiting myself by reality.
So, here my tribute to that movement…not exactly the same photo as a secessionist would take but with my style and MY personal point of view
BTW, the book I was talking about is “Camera Work”, a collection of all the 50 issues of the homonym periodic, originally published between 1903 and 1917, absolutely a book every photographer must have
