They are just normal pines from the Puget Sound area... thin and tall. I've never been to the red wood forests, but I'd love to someday.

And I think I'm hooked on the left-coast as well. hehehe Been an Easterner all my life till four years ago - and coming here was the best move we've made.

You're welcome. They are certainly stately pines. If you ever want to see the redwoods, may I humbly suggest Big Basin, about an hour south of San Jose ('round abouts Santa Clara, I think) in CA? It's just an amazing, wonderful, beautiful park... at one time the largest in square miles in all of CA, don't know if that's still true.

Yeah, I emigrated from OH and lived out there for four years and then got SUCKED back with a gigantic whooshing noise (remember that unexplained huge whooshing sound you heard in the spring of 1995? Sure you do. That was me.) Leaving there was one of the hardest things I ever did, and I hope to make it back out someday Congrats on holding fast out there... it's the place to be.
