Cool. I just started experimenting doing this a little. I've settled on 10 seconds, wait for 5-6 seconds, then give the lens a spin for the remainder. For most things anyhow. Depends. I've only posted one as yet though.

it was a night of experimenting with things. So It's 30 seconds and during the exposure you zoom in or out...depending on where you're focal length is already standing. YAY
