this does make me think of 1984; not the reference that you have put but more the themes and ideas of it
the main one it makes me think of is how people don't marry for love they just get partenered up with someone and sort of how people (can't remember the exact term) become non-existant and just don't get talked about anymore
this is a really effective photo - the simplicity of it works so well and the black and white works with that as well
truthfully, i loved the concept of 1984 but just couldn't bring myself to finish it - i only got about 3/4 of the way through it when i had to read it for school
but i really liked animal farm... have you read that one?

I was in the middle (or finished) of the book when I took
the photos that I have with reference to it. I loved the book.

This is maybe my favorite picture of yours and i have no idea why?!? o_O' It might be the boxes or the background could be how the ? make it seem that the 2 are not sure of the love they have between each other. I guess it reminds me of Marriage.

I get the feeling that people are losing their identity in a world where we're told more and more to conform to certain standards. but I could be wrong, idk. it's a great shot. It gives off a silly but sad vibe at the same time, like an attempt at a portrait that won't mean anything anyways. very interesting :]

that's exactly what's happening. A lot of what 1984 is about is what's going on around us today (in a sense). Funny thing is, my grandpa brought that into the light for me. Made me notice that a lot of it is like 1984. He loved the book.
