Ok, I really must apologise for such an awful drawing. I honestly want to hit myself, because this has taken me days, and usually something like this doesn't take me a week to complete! 
Poor Pavia and Tulio, I feel awful for making them look soooo bad! But I couldn't make them look any better if I tried! *sigh* I think I'm going backwards, not forwards in my art! 
So, my apologies to everyone, I didn't intend on this looking so ruddy awful!Anyway, this is my new Pavia, who's spending some special time with Tulio, who happens to be the father of their foal, which is all part of =Z1ven 's new game!
I'm going to have so much fun designing their foal! 
I tried to capture the two having a quiet moment together, having spent a sunny afternoon running through the fields of pink flowers!

I don't think it's awful or anything. :3 You characters look like they belong together and otherwise fit into their background. Something that may help is the show the shadow of Tulio casting on Pavia, since they are so close and it seems your light is coming from the upper left. Tulio's eyes are forward facing and level like a pretador's. I know Spirit/Dreamwork style horses have larger, slightly forward facing eyes, but they are still set on at a slight angle to make them more horse-like. It could also help to have stronger shadows on the ground, and Tulio's shadow also reflecting on Pavia's legs like in the reference.
Like I said, I think it's nice and if you feel you are going backwards, it's honestly just the low before you make an artsy breakthrough. :3

aww the flowers are in their wavy mane, and this is just so wonderful!^.^ i think it still beautiful! you havent went backwards at all, maybe you have to move back to move twice as fast.
