arent those lines due to the mechanism being dirty rather than the film being expired?!

equivoque In reply to highspire2k [2008-04-02 01:09:07 +0000 UTC]

yes, because the expired film was oozing crap all over inside the camera. they weren't dirty prior to using the film.

Will expired color 35mm film do stuff like this, too? I might have to do some experimentation.
The results are cool!

it will do other wonderful, crazy things. you can never predict what from batch to batch!

Next question: howabout expired film that's been sitting next to a microwave for two years?

i used some in a used camera that i bought that came with film in it. when i took the film out, i noticed it was dated 1989 (it was 2006 when i used it). go for it! crazy things can happen!

the odd striations really work here - like looking through the blinds that time has pulled over our eyes - serendipity pays off

This is too f**king good!

I'm becoming very jealous, do you have an endless supply of time zero?

ha ha... no, i do not have an endless supply. i will be crying and carrying on noticeably when i get to the end of my stash, so it will be obvious to all!

yes, it does warm it up. i'm afraid it becomes too complex for the scanner and for photoshop though. the original is quite prettier.
