This might seem silly, but have you ever seen Forrest Gump? There's this part where he and Jenny are walking along a deserted strech of dirt road and she realizes they're going past her childhood home. In that home, a lot of bad things happened to her, so when she sees it again, she becomes angry and loses control of herself. She starts throwing stones at the house as she screams and eventually falls in the muddy driveway, barefooted and sobbing. That is what this picture (the house in particular) reminds me of but not in a dorky Forrest Gump way - it's in a raw emotional way. I really like your Prisoner series (along with at least half of your gallery) but this one stands out from the others.

Was this an abandoned house? IMHO, it's a beautiful little house, and, if fixed up, would be just amazing! (Of course, I'm nerdy like that.)
Despite the darkness to this picture, I seem to be able to see it in a different light. It's a beautiful shot, and the sun looks amazing. That small house, abandoned in the middle of nowhere, but still somehow shining through... I love it! Reminds me of the book "The Little House", also. That story still makes me cry! (And it's a children's book, too. I'm a little too old to cry over stories like that!)
Maybe someone will come by and turn that house into all that it can be. But maybe not. Not everyone gets a happy ending, after all.

Woah. That is incredible! I've never seen anything that creepy cool done without manipulation. I love the way the sun is filtered by the clouds and the broken look those cables gives the photo.

I am looking to create a similiar look in a black and white photo... what did you do with camera speed and f/ stops and enlarger filters... i like how it looks like a moom behind the house
