Chapter Three: Chaos

"So Thunderwing has escaped." says The Fallen, "Why am I not surprised?"  "I did use your spare parts to build Thunderwing." says Omega, "It takes after you I guess."  "I suppose this complicates matters." says Bludgeon, "The second Reyvateil android is on the loose, N-Virus infused if I remember correctly.  We also need to test the Sonic Tyranids, and Hellmaster's aura has been detected."  "Let's not forget that the ISF are probably on their way right now." says Tarantulus, "And then there is the Angelus to worry about as well."  "And you call yourself Chaos?" says The Fallen, "Our objective stays the same.  Telos.  You, Tarantulus, and Bludgeon oversee the Sonic Tyranid tests.  Omega, you go look for Hellmaster.  Thunderwing will come for me, and I will not disappoint."

Meanwhile......

A portal opens in Pastalia.  Out of it steps Edward, Shippou, Maria, Valentine, and Shirou.  They look at the house that they are standing in front of.  "You think that one of the knights would be able to afford something more than a rental property." says Maria.  "Don't badmouth the place." says Shippou, "Croix is a good friend of mine, and so is Cocona.  Be nice."  Shippou then knocks on the door.  A guy wearing glasses answers it.  "Hey Croix." says Shippou, "Long time, no see."  "Good to see you too Shippou." says Croix, "Glad you responded to my call."  He then looks over at the others.  "Who are they?"  "Given the situation," says Shippou, "this matter is a bit more serious than a simple demon invasion.  I'll fill you in on what's going on."

At the same time, at Bon Belton in Rakshek.......

A young girl sits in the cafe, sipping on a cup of tea.  A pink cabbit it eating a carrot next to her.  She looks up at the waitress, and says "Is Luca here today Skycat?"  "I'm sorry Mayuka." says Skycat, "Master left for Pastalia this mourning.  Aparantly, Lady Cloche went missing."  "I see......" says Mayuka.  She has a worried look on her face.  "Any ideas on what happened?"  "No madam." says Skycat, "It's natural for master to worry about her, but something about this doesn't feel right."  Mayuka felt the same way.  An ill wind was blowing this day.  Even the demon half of her felt uneasy.  "I'm sure Luca will be fine." says Mayuka, "After everything she's been through, I doubt anything will faze her.  Well..... almost anything."  Mayuka then gets up, and puts some money on the table for her bill.  "I'll see you around Skycat." says Mayuka.  She then looks at the pink cabbit.  "Come Neo-Oki.  We best be going."  Neo-Oki meows at her, and follows her out the door.

The Axis Courtyard didn't have very many people walking around it today.  There were rumors of dark creatures, perhaps demons, wandering outside the city.  Mayuka decided to head back to the inn for now, and to set out for Pastalia later.  But, before she was able to leave the courtyard.......

"I didn't expect to see you here half-breed."

Mayuka turned around and saw Tanrantulus standing in the middle of the courtyard.

"Tarantulus?" says Mayuka, "You're still online?!?!?"  "In more ways than one." says Tarantulus, "I must say I didn't expect to see you here.  I thought for sure I would run into Ruby Eyes.  But then again, it doesn't seem like you were here on assignment."  Just then, three Sonic Tyranids appeared next to him.  "How do you like my latest work?" Tarantulus continued.  "I may not have had much success with Hymmnos research, but what I was able to accomplish with it is impressive, don't you think?"  "Three lone Tyranids against me?" says Mayuka, "Hardly seems fair for them."  "These are not any ordinary Tyranids." says Tarantulus, "They are more than they seem."  He snaps his fingers, and teleports away.  The armor plates on the heads and arms of the Sonic Tyranids moves back, and a high sonic frequency is triggered.  Mayuka fell to her knees in pain.  It felt like her head was being crushed in a vice.  She tried to fire an energy shot at one of them, but she found it hard to concentrate on her target.  She felt like she was blacking out......

Just then, three armored figures fly in, and destroy the Tyranids.  As Mayuka's eyes readjust to her surroundings, she recognized the armor.  It was armor provided by The Order of The Sword to seal the Angelus away.  "Target destroyed." says one of them.  "We must head back." said another.  "The mistress is waiting for us."  Then, the three armored warriors flew away.  "Meowmeow meow." says Neo-Oki.  "I don't have the slightest idea what just happened." says Mayuka, "But from what I saw, I think the Angelus has escaped."  "Meow." says Neo-Oki, "Meowmeow, meow meow."  "I know, I know." says Mayuka, "I'm calling the ISF right now."  Mayuka pulls out her communicator, only to find that it's not working.  "Dammit!" says Mayuka, "Those creatures must have knocked out the transdimentional transmitter.  I need a grathnode wire, and a fleck scanner to fix it.  And there is only one place nearby that would have them."  "Meow meowmeow." says Neo-Oki.  "Too risky." says Mayuka, "We can't be flying around with both the Chaos and the Angelus around here.  Until we can call for reinforcements, we have to keep a low profile."  "Meow." says Neo-Oki.

"Good think I wasn't in dark mode." Mayuka thought to herself.  "They would have attacked me too if they sensed my demonic half."

Meanwhile......

Saber and Amarie make their way through the forest outside Rakshek.  Just then, Saber senses something.  She stops in her tracks and says, "Hold on a moment."  "What is it?" says Amarie.  "It's him....." says Saber, "Omega is near.  This way!"  She runs off in the direction of where she senses Omega.  "Hold on there!" says Amarie as she runs after Saber.  "Wait for me!"

At the same time, in the tower itself.........

Thunderwing goes over a data terminal just below the Hot Spot.  "I know I have the data in here somewhere." says Thunderwing, "Those two didn't realize I was recording their Hymmnos data during the battle.  And with the new system I was working on, I will not be chained to singing my spells.  Hell, I will not be chained to my own spells.  The Chaos turned me into a monster, and now it's time to show them how dangerous I can really be."  In moments, the data Thunderwing was looking for comes up.  She copies it to a strange device she obtained on her way there.

"Now let's give this Hymmnos Driver a field test."

Back in Pastalia...........

"....and that is the situation thus far." says Edward.  "I see." says Croix, "This is a serious matter.  What's the plan?"  "We need to look for the Angelus." says Shippou, "But we cannot ignore the growing activity around here."  "Knowing the Angelus," says Edward, "she'll be after me.  After all, I was one of the people responsible for her capture last time.  When she shows up, I'll try to lead her out of the city.  Beyond that......"  Edward was silent for a moment.  "......I guess I have to play it by ear."  "Are you crazy?!?!?" says Shirou, "Even you can't face the Angelus alone!"  "Shirou," says Edward, "I brought you along for this mission because I think this situation will bring Saber out of hiding.  I know what I'm doing.  Please understand that."  "So you really think Saber will show herself?" says Shirou.  "Knowing her," says Edward, "I don't doubt it."

Just then, a commotion can be heard outside......

"Dammit!" says Shippou, "I guess they decided show show themselves."  "We got to get going." says Maria, "I'm not going to miss this."

Moments later, in Waterfall Hill Park........

Edward and the others make there way to the park.  In the center of the park is a small platoon of Necron warriors.  "Necrons?" says Edward, "What are they doing here?"  "They don't emit a demonic aura." says Shippou, "The Chaos must know the Angelus is here."  Shippou readies his sword.  But, before he can draw it, a scream can be heard nearby.  They look over and see a girl with short blue hair trip and fall on the ground.  The Necrons were about to attack her.  "Oh no!" says Croix, "LUCA!!!"
