Γingvellir is pure natural beauty. This wonderful lake is comfortably situated very close to Rejkyavik, and so we headed there right after breakfast, to watch the sunrise.The lake was perfectly calm. It was cold outside, but we couldn't help but enjoy wading on the snowy banks, admiring the striking colors of the vegetation, and the constantly-changing clouds and light. A long exposure gave this image the dreamy feel Γingvellir had given me.

Wow. Just saw this over on dpreview - I absolutely adore that dreamy look with the soft light, the snow covering that little island there, the light reflecting on the water and all that.
This is what winter looks like, to me.

Erez, truely amazing photography. this shot just leaps off the monitor at me. the composition is sheer perfection the scrub pushing through the snow in the foreground leads you into the frame. the curve of the land leading the eyes around and back into the centre of the view, gliding over the water to the land beyond with the sun painting the sky with its magical pallette. Absolutely superb work one of those shots I can imagine myself in the scene itself. Well done Erez. Simon
