I agree with you, however it would seem the 'documentary photojournalism' category is enough explanation.
Without someone to stop and capture the moment, events like this would be most likely forgotten or ignored.

it's so hard to find works with a political background around here... so I am glad for this great picture of yours. It gives a clear idea of what Europe might go through in a view years, maybe.
I've been following the news about the protests since the beginning... around here (Austria) there was even a pro-Erdogan counter demonstration, which had a lot more participants than the one supporting the protestors in Turkey 
Anyways, I wish the occupy activists all the best - hopefully the exploited people all around the world will soon follow your example and stand up for their rights
