Description
The once-was is almost gone, and something new is fluidly emerging. A design for those who like me, find perfection boring.
All of the brass forms for this piece were first cut from thick plate, and then ground to the final sculpted shape. A selenious acid patina was applied to darken and age the surface, and also add depth. The face of the clock is kitikata rice paper, weathered and eroded, and then finished off with a series of warm oil washes.
