edit [05|16|08]made some major changes on the phoenix and attempted at a low quality look since I didn't like the clean and shiny style of the old version. Added some more effects as well.

500 Years Later is still one of my favorite pieces of my gallery that's why I decided to give it a sequel.

Details:
The landscape is rendered with Terragen and consists of more than 5 different parts which I had to merge together to create a feeling of depth.
The sorcerer, the Phoenix and the sky are photomanipulated while I used fire stocks to form the comets in the background.
Working time about 15 hours.

This is awsome. I love the depth of field that you've given this and the sky colours are stunning, Its like they're aflame.
My only "critiscism" would be that the sorcerer doesn't quite gel with the background and it took me a while to figure out why. I think his back is slightly too dark, If you check out the hill to his left, thats how dark his back should be. Just drop his contrast a bit, I think that would help him sit better in the landscape....unless you wanted him to stand out, in which case, Awesome job

The eagle sticks out too much, and you can tell its a remake of your older stuff really... Good idea - a complete remake from scratch would work better than just doing stuff to the original imo
