From what I remember from the game. A Composer is an entity (they don't explain if it's a god or not) that takes care of a certain place (or at least that's how some interpret it). In Joshua's case it's Shibuya. If we follow this idea, other areas may have other Composers. If all Composers do the Game, we cannot know.
But what the game shows cleary is that anyone can become the Composer if he/she defeats the previous Composer. That's exactly what Sho wanted to do since Joshua in a human form (and in another plane) doesn't have all the powers of Composer. Beat also wanted to become the Composer so he could bring Rhyme back.
I like to believe that Joshua also played the Game and defeated the Composer with the help of Mr. H. That's why H became a fallen angel. That would also explain why they are so close to each other.

I see, now it's more clear, thank you. A shame it isn't explained clearly in the game, but anyway, didn't Mr. H become a fallen angel because the "another day" him wanted to stop the composer from destroying the city?
Oh, and, am i mistaken or the game itself suggests that Joshua shooted himself with a gun to join the game for the first time? that is just a theory anyway xD
That's why i like this game so much, it has to be INTERPRETATED
