Description Well, these were my attempt at sumi-e seals, since I've been dabbling with it a bit. My kit came with a pot of red sealing ink, but did not contain a seal to use it with. Normally these seals ("hanko"or "chops") are made of stone and have chinese characters bearing the artist's name, or are "mood seals" that have a more general meaning. I had an x-acto and an eraser, and no idea how to carve Chinese characters. So, I went a little more non-traditional.

The first one was meant to be a lantern, but the eraser edge I picked ended up not quite wide enough for that, so it's sort of strange looking. For the next one I had the bright Idea to use Tengwar, so I mirrored the first three letters of my name on the top and bottom to make a design. Only, I was stupid and forgot that when carving a stamp, it's necessary to carve a REVERSE image of what you actually want the stamp to look like, so the Tengwar is backwards. Oh well, at least I know what it means, and it will definitely be uniquely mine. :/

Welcome.
I saw the jewelry set and was wondering what you would think about the suggestion that you combine a kanzashi with a circlet. I know it would indeed be odd but I think it could work. What about you?'
Also could you recreate the kanji for a name?

Well, I've already done one flower crown with kanzashi, although I'm not sure if it's the type of style you're thinking of. fav.me/d9jeyja

I've seen others, and tiara or crown-like designs made in kanzashi petals, so I'm sure it could work. It's much more modern, certainly, I couldn't really see a maiko wearing one, but there are lots of modern kanzashi designs now. All that really matters when choosing is whether you're trying to be traditional or not.

I don't really write in kanji, I'd like to learn someday but haven't yet. I used Tengwar as a substitute here, since it's one of my favorites, but it's a fantasy alphabet (from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings) with no relation to any real-world culture.  Since a sumi-e chop is supposed to represent the artist however, and Tengwar has been a part of my life for a long time, I found it fitting.
