Description My own version of a loftwing from the Legend of Zelda game Skyward Sword. I have been wanting to draw a loftwing for a while now, and I love albino animals, so I combined them and this is what you get.

I got the colors on him just a little too dark, he really should be paler (almost white) to appear albino, but I don't feel like re-coloring right now.

(And yes, I know there are not actually any white loftwings in the game. It's only a drawing folks. )

*1/9/2011 edit* Thanks to some advice from a couple of people who noticed my incorrect use of the Hylian script, I have edited the image so it should now (hopefully) be correct and readable.

I actually haven't really learned the Hylian script, I just used a font I had, and apparently I used it incorrectly. I have had other people point the mistake out to me, and I might change it soon, now that I've found my in-progress pics. Thank you for the advice though! I really appreciate it.

Who knows how rare an Albino loftwing would be? Albinism is actually pretty common in some animals, especially certain types of birds. Take peacocks, for example. It's always pretty though, rare or not.

I can't draw birds, but I want to be able to draw a Loftwing...

by the way, it looks like you're using the backwards Hylian script from the Wii version of Twilight Princess, but you spelled "Loftwing"... forwards. Either each of the letters would be flipped, like the Gamecube script, or the whole word would need to be written backwards.

Thanks! I'm not great at drawing birds either, so I was a little surprised this picture actually turned out so well. Loftwings are based almost directly off shoebill storks, and there are plenty of pictures of those to use as references, if you wanted to practice.

I had no clue how to use the script, I wanted Hylian letters and I happened to have that font sitting in my paint program, so I just typed as normal. XD Thanks for telling me how to use it! The picture is already merged so I can't really correct it, but I'll know for next time.
