Dreaming Dark DecemberAs the sun shines fewer hours in the day in winter, so our dreams expand in the warmth indoors, where the eternal clash between self-love and love-beyond-self continues. Our imaginations alight, moth-like (for not only butterflies come from caterpillars), exploring themes of human history, myth, science, the divine, and pure fantasy. What we dream, we also create, when it is light, and what is strange and fallen is intermixed with hope, always, for what else defines us as creatures but the persistence of hope of triumph, and where does that hope originate in the human heart but from our Creator who loves and redeems us?
