Description
Today I started with the crinoline for my Queen Esther coronation dress.
So much love! <3
It isnt finish yet (bent and crooked XD)
I still need 40 meters of steel. Then I can continue.
I didn´t want to buy a hoop skirt or a crinoline, because I do not find a suitable crinoline for my needs
Also, I love to sew such things. I'm just a lover of crinolines, corsets and other historical clothing. <3
(Yes I know that the costume of Esther is not historically accurate.)

Heute habe ich mit der Krinoline für Queen Esther angefangen. Es ist wieder einmal die pure Liebe! Wie man auf dem Bild sehen kann, ist er längst noch nicht fertig. Es fehlen noch ca. 40 Meter Krinolinenstahlband, also ein paar Queerbindungen. Noch ist die Krinoline krumm und schief. Aber das wird schon mit mehr Stahlband ^,^ Wie immer wollte ich keinen Reifrock kaufen. Zum einen finde ich keinen der mir gefällt und wenn ich doch mal einen gefunden habe, der gehen könnte, ist er einfach unbezahlbar. Aber was solls. Ich liebe es so oder so, Krinolinen, Korsetts und andere Dinge zu nähen *___*

Quick question how long is each ring on your skirt. I'm trying to make my own crinoline skirt as well and want it to be as big as possible but I'm having difficulty with the length of each ring

I made a crinoline of my own, but it's my first and I think I made too many hoops... XDD Still I might sew more than one dress so the next crinoline may end up like this one... XDD

how the hell did you make this? Im going to make a costume for august, and it have a very special type of Crinoline under, so I wanted to make it myself but dont know how yet.. so how???

How to make the crinoline?
Ì don´t speak very good englisch, so it´s difficult for me to explain the prozess how to build a crinoline.
But I hope that I can help you a little bit.
At first, you need some "Wigonafederstahlband".
That is the german word. Here a picture of it:

I don´t know the english word for it. Perhaps "crinoline steal"
And then you sew some fabric tunnel.

These are tutorials for hoop skirts.
But the principle is the same for crinolines.

Actually Im thinking about making it with the boning, and just make it in black fabric maybe.. or grey, and then ADD the details.. ^^ but I can tell you, you helped a lot already

As you can see there are one under, its not a full crinoline, its more off some extra to hold the back

I'll probably still get them in a elliptical shape. That will be fit better.
I can´t probably do this cosplay for Animagic 2014. , _; Currently I am heavily involved and barely have time to Esther to work.
But I am sure we find a way to shoot together
