Well done!Whenever I asked girls if I can draw or paint them, they thought it was a stupid pickup line... Finally I gave up. I draw the girls secretly now, when I sit in the cafe and they do not notice it. Maybe has something to do with the mentality of the people here in Germany...

It took me a long time to start drawing people, first I had to draw pictures (and I still do that) that I find anywhere. Then, the people started to ask me to draw them, and later I started to ask them to draw them.It is funny to see the reactions, and I would like to do what you do in cafes and so, and give the drawing to the people I draw, but I can't!Ihope you can draw girls how you want, don't give up about that!Good luck and thank you very much

Thanks for the reply!Well, most of us started drawing from pictures.I'm also frequently asked to draw or paint someone. What I wanted to say is, that when I see or meet a stranger person I really wanted to draw/sketch/paint, well... most people just refuse. This is especially true with girls... They most likely think that I try to pick them up... So I developed a little bit of an actors skills:I sit in a cafรจ or in the park - I put on a perfectly harmless and innocent face and just draw and sketch.Well - If I am discovered and the drawn person responds nice and interested, well, ...they get the drawing In my experience they don't feel annoyed when they are sketched this way.If you would like to sit in cafรจs or parks or what ever and sketch people: Just do it!You'll see: you're art - no matter what level - will make a big leap forward. ...unfortunately it also produces a lot of paper waste There is nothing more important than a good knowledge of anatomy and drawing from life! Everything else will grow from itself Good luck to you - and... oh,... you got a nice gallery!
