I know, she was such a cutie ;v;
But I really love her in her zoroark form. She's got a much more developed style.
Ahh, thank you~

A poor artist's blender can be made by rolling a piece of plain newsprint up as tightly as you can, then fitting it into a pencil sharpener. However, I the joy of moving up to a stronger medium is that it gives you more free reign with the old ones. Don't throw them out, experiment! Work them really hard, melt them, burn them, use oil or water. Use them all up in some experiemental work that works for cheap supplies. Expensive supplies you have to treat more carefully. That's the fun of cheap stuff.

Ooh, thanks for the suggestion. It'll definitely save some money, so I'll have to try that out~
Oh gosh, I would never even dream of throwing out my old art supplies. It would be such a waste.
I'll have to try out the new colored pencils and compare them to my current ones, and then experiment with them. I can't say that I've heard of those ideas for cheap colored pencils and I'm curious as to how it'll all turn out.

Faber Castel are what I used for drawing II and the 24(?) pack wasn't too expensive. uwu Prismacolor are wax-based so they work and blend a little differently from oil-based pencils like Faber Castel, but they're also good quality. You'd have to try both (oil-based and wax-based) to figure out a preference though. And as I said in chat, if you don't get your hands on a blender, a white pencil can work, though goodness knows a blender makes it a little easier.
As for shading, the rule of using a colour other than a darker shade of the base colour applies to everything, and makes your colour story richer. Rarely, if ever, are things one solid saturated colour. (aka the local colour.) Layering browns, purples, and yellows—or perhaps another complementary scheme, I haven't tried that—will give you a nice base for your local colours. ouo
Anyways, Cher's still a cutie so I don't know what you're talking about. >3>

Faber Castel and Prismacolor sound like the most popular options. I think I'll try out Faber Castel since they're easier to get.
Thanks for the tip. I vaguely remember it from an art class, and this reminder should be helpful. Using different colors for shading should be interesting.
Cher will always be a cutie. It's just so different having her evolved.

You know, if you have extra money, getting a hold of some drawing pens might be good too. Probably lower on the priority list, but it'd still be nice.
