Ok, so it's a little soon for a 2k kiriban, and I may not hit that number for a while yet, but it's close enough for me.
Playing with my markers again. I was going for the Sumi-e style work that's done on Okami. I was also playing wih the idea of a six winged angel. Put those two ideas together and here you go. I think it turned out pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.
My younger brother says it looks like Amaterasu. My older brother says it looks like a kind of flower angel. I'll let you decide for yourself what she looks like.
Not bad for about thirty minutes in a hotel room watching Spiderman 2, no? lol.

Thanks! Markers aren't too bad to work with. They just take some fiddling around with. lol. Then again, I've never gotten pastels to work for me, so I can understand your view.

Now pastels I can work with (don't ask me why, I think they just like me or something). I think I like things that almost look like they can blend (like pastels) but I can't achieve this look with markers. It's so frustrating. ><

Which ones would you best suggest for a starter?

Ummm... Well, Prismas are cheaper individually. They're roughly $3 each, whilst Copic are $5-$6 each. So, for starting out, I'd go with the Prismas. You can't refill them like you can Copics, but they put out the same color in quality, in my opinion.

holy crap that is awesome. the colors and the softness....it's REALLY nice. i especially like the fact that it has no face (i'm fond of no-face folks, lol).

Thanks! Y'know, it's nice to hear some people say they like the no-face look. I've had a lot of people say that it ruined the pic. My thought to that went something like, "Well TOO BAD."
