Beautiful shot, would love to seen the bakground a hair lighter, maybe even a lighter framing, deffinitly looks kinda like a classical painting.

Oh gosh, I'm the biggest dork in the world.

Beautiful shot, brilliantly captured. The lighting is very well done and the simplicity of the whole image really strikes a chord.

I love it.

It has some graininess, though. I think ways to reduce it include exposing longer (maybe turning up ISO sensitivity?) and then artificially darkening it in photoshop.

Beautiful lighting. And great composition too. It'd be nice of it was cropped a little tighter, and if perhaps the flowers were a little sharper. But that lighting is fantastic. You deserve that DD.

The contrast on this picture is amazing.
The lines of the bastket are so dark, I couldn't tell if this was a digital piece or a photo.
Quite beautiful.

Nice picture! For some crazy reason, I always thought the chamomile flower was smaller and grew in clusters instead of singley like these. Maybe it was a wild variety I was thinking of... Nice composition! Congrats on the DD!

Eurominionius, I looked at this pic a while and couldn't quite get the feeling. So, I perused your gallery and your favorites to get a more informed opinion. I notice that you have a liking for contrast. Whether it's in the message or the lighting, the big theme I found was contrast. Here, I see a picture of some flowers in a wooden bucket on what seems to be a wooden floor. The lighting, whether arranged pre or post-exposure, looks like sunlight filtering through a window and perhaps broken apart by an intervening tree or maybe a tangle of sheer drapery. The contrast between light and dark is definitely between the camomiles and everything else, but the subject of the shot unfortunately appears to be the bucket. Based on a contrast shot, I have a suggestion. You can crop the picture so that the bucket becomes the background and the flowers are more prominent. You may want to play with the lines made by the upward curve of the camomiles below the downward curve of the bucket edge behind them. Once the flowers fill the majority of the frame, you can flatten the background more and even darken it some. This may give you a really nice background for a colorization filter or perhaps some kind of glow. I would really like to see what you can do with this.

Fantastic atmosphere... when I first saw the TN in the Daily Dev, I wasn't sure what it was - 3D, watercolour, photograph... the lighting you've used here astounds me. It's masterful. It brings out such vibrant shades and hues in the simplest of things, it gives the whole background that wonderful earthy feel, and it feels so warm... it's almost like being underground, in a way, it's so all encompassing. The focus you've used is perfect and adds just that little hint of otherworldliness to it, a bit of mystery almost, amd the composition is perfect too, and what makes it feel so much like a painting. Just having that one extra flower adds so much more colour to it, so much more life, but it doesn't crowd the photo or take over, and the general emptiness of the plant pot adds a kind of sad undertone to the whole image, as if they're dying, like this is the last moment of their beauty captured and saved forever.
Goddamn... I love this.

I think the lighting was absolutely perfect to create the magnificent glow of the flowers - absolutely stunning

Hahaha, when I saw the thumbnail I was convinced it was a 3D-redering... It's really nice, I like the light caressing the flowers... and I want that bucket/vat-thingy I think.
