I'm really starting to wonder why the hell certain time periods have certain tendencies.
Why does the Mid-Triassic have so many freaks? Why does the Miocene have so many predators?

Drepanosaurs were probably the strangest extinct reptiles. Hook tails, chameleon bodies, anteater arms and bird heads. Weirder than most fantasy animals!

Megalancosaurus actually had mantis arms, that were used to grab its prey, as well as for climbing.
