Happy birthday Ana!!

This is a watercolour portrait of Mini, my friend's cat who has passed away few months ago. Mini had an extremely rare disease, she was 1 out of 2 cats on the world with this disease, which explains why her eyes are like that. She was a ray of sunshine, playful and really kind kitten despite all the challenges she was going through. Sadly she lost her battle not so long ago, but she's in a better place now. This cat was my friend's sweetheart, she loves all animals and is proud owner of quite a few too, however this one had and still has a special place in her heart.
She started crying when she saw a picture of it, so I guess my mission was accomplished.
This piece already has a reserved place on one of her walls!

So, this took around.... Let's see... I made the first study of this cat in my notebook, which took around 5 hours, then I made final sketch of it on watercolour paper, which took around 5 hours too (and a LOT of erasing...), then the process of colouring it took... 8 hours in total, and the last day when I was finishing it I stayed up 'till 5 am to finish it, but it was worth it! You know you're tired when you stop caring about how it looks like...
