Wow! Where was this taken? You must've been lucky to see the cardinal peek behind himself. Gorgeous plumage, neutral and blurry background to help the cardinal be the focus... I, as well as my grandma, love this bird and this photo.

Two days ago. It's on the balcony railing blow the feeder so  they actually come pretty often and I have a lot of photos (mostly of the male as the female is more cautious and flies away at the slightest movement). I chose this one because I like the pose and how it looks dark against lighter background.
