Description Ah, van Gogh... Genius painter that wasn't recognised by the people of his time. Did you guys know that it was because of the wife of his younger brother he is the well known painter we have all heard of today? This is a quick study, based on  his famous painting. His use of colours is just amazing...

Ahh, Van Gogh, an artist who focused more on the feeling than the detail. You clearly show that  idea here too. A street view of a coffee shop during midnight; the possible ideas are endless. I'm excited to know there are modern-day artist that are still trying to learn from the idealistic artists of the past. Keep up the good work, my friend.

Hi there!Initially I came for the  ProjectComment   ,but I decided not to give a critique and instead I prefer to enoy this piece,
and tell you what I like about it......it's full of vibrant colors and it emulates very well the Van Gogh style.

The atmposphere is wonderful and I really like to see stylized works even if they mimic another's artist style,
someone told you that this work it looks  imperfect but I have to disagree completely because each style
has it's own way to be done,In favour of your work I must say that the style you used is correctly done,
checking a little of your work I can see that you already have developed your own style and that's fantastic
because once you have developed your own style, you're literally  ready to conquer the world of art...hehehe!

I wish you the best of lucks,be constant and I'm sure that you can go as far as you want to!!

It's been a pleasure to see your work and give you my discrete opinion....have a great week!

I am currently reading a book called the 'van Gogh Atlas' which reveals his journey from the Netherlands to France, hence the inspiration to make a study of one of his paitings.

Excellent work

(btw, commenting for )

I really love this work, namely because of the whole Van Gough nature to it, and it really shows in the colors and brush use. All of that combined makes for a appealing artwork. ^^ I also like the the "Parisian night life" vibe of the artwork too, makes me feel like visiting some city like Paris or Milan to experience the moment. Also, I'm a sucker for orange lol x), and the orange light along side the blue night sky really compliment each other. You picked two colors that were perfect for a scene like this. Lastly, I love the stylized environment, the basic details on the city lights, depth, and perspective in this case is what gives your art here an advantage, because from the looks of it, you knew how to put that into practice without making it look rudimentary.

I love artworks that can create a stylized world rather than recreate everyday real-life.

My only input would be to add more signs of human life, to be honest, looking at this for the first time, I didn't catch any of the human characters in the restaurant until a few moments later. Maybe you can try giving them outlines, or put enough detail into their color scheme (enough so that they're visible to the viewers). There's a similar issue with the character in white, further in the background, it looks like they're fading. Once again, you could try giving them a tad more detail to them (colorful outline may do the trick).

Other than that, you've made an superb piece of art. Colorful, distinct, and imperfect, which (if you ask me) is what makes it beautiful.I hope to see more of your work in this group
