Yes I know, I know, generic as hell. This is the piece I was talking about for my Uni assignment. We had to design a postcard, collaborating with a partner, based on the theme of Here:There or Now:Then. I did the latter. It was lucky I had already made the tree earlier since I would have had no time to do it now. Anyway nothing special, I do like the creased paper though. I big fan of background textures am I. Also don't bother saying omg this is so he1z or anything like that. It'll only piss me off. Cheers.Related content

A lot of your work reminds me of Jack Johnson's album cover ...you know the one titled 'In Between Dreams'. The tree bares a striking resemblance. The surfer theme as well. This is awesome work.

yeah it was orig intented for htis piece- for uni. but i decided to put in extra detail and submit "in between dreams" on here.

I'm loving it, man. Generic? Maybe the flavor. But I love the whole composition. What a great idea. The only thing I don't like is how unbalanced that man's bench makes his side feel. It even intersects the tree. Maybe you can find a cool tree shape that bends in a way that it fixes the balance issues? The texture of the paper really gives the whole thing an extra boost, I agree. The little tech-circles and lines and stuff keep it consistent with your hi-tech style. I think it's awesome. Your new realistic vector stuff is really taking hold and proving to be very awesome.
I have some questions...
What school are you attending? How many graphics/design classes are you taking? And where are you (in your opinion), sorted by overall design ability/talent, in the grand lineup of your classmates? Thanks so much. I'm really curious

hey thanks. yeah i know about het chair - cutting off and weighted but i had no time to fix it or find a better stock image. thats why i added the colours down the bottom left - to try and balance it a bit more... im at monash uni doing digital processes (this stuff), design studio - more hands on, life drawign and history and theory - all cahnges to industrial design next semester - 6 weeks. in hte dig processes class i prob ahve around top ability wise but i dunno about conceptually etc. thanks for stopping by

Awesome! I LOOOOVE industrial design. That's probably what I want to study myself. Maybe even architecture, but I'm not sure

its not he1z. he1z is bold strong themes and colours in orange and black. this is nostalgic, simpler, understated in pale creams.
