BIO:

History: Durgandh Raaja was originally known as Ruma Dahl, a young boy with a love for music and the arts. However, young Ruma had one passion and one passion alone.

And that was to rip through the dance floor, and dance.

Ruma grew up with a rhythm in his heart and a tap to his step. Gaining the title Durgandh Raaja, which he took as a title of respect, Durgandh quickly proved to be one of the greatest dancers alive.

Durgandh was loved by many, he was something of a local hero in fact. His face was everywhere in the city he called home. On cereal boxes, billboards, and even the sides of busses~!

When TV came to people’s homes, he was there, too! His fire only grew

However, fame always brings about a great nosedive to the unprepared.

After one of his performances, while taking autographs, a strange figure approached him wearing a black cloak, completely concealing themselves. Confused, Durgandh greeted them with a smile, a gesture that was greeted with the figure whipping off their cloak and revealing themselves.

Before Durgandh was a blue tigress, the likes he had never seen before, and in front of his fans and the cameras, the tigress proclaimed that she wished to have a battle of the dances!

Durgandh, recovering from the initial shock, without thinking agreed heartily.

And so they met, atop a great stage under the stars they danced.

And danced… and danced… and then danced some more! It was a legendary spectacle, the music shifted and changed, one track after another, one genre of music to another, the beat consistent and the movement strong.

Minutes turned to hours and even the great master of dance himself was beginning to tire. The weather shifted and changed, rain hammering down on them, but that did little to slow down the constant dancing the two purveyed.

It was the 4th hour, however, both dancers sweating and hot. Their breathing hard and forced. It was the 4th hour… Durgandh finally collapsed. His limbs no longer able to move… his heart losing the beat of the music. The tigress stood above him, looking down at him. She gave him a worried look despite her victory.

But what Durgandh saw was not worry in the harsh rain, but pity.

With what strength Durgandh had left, he pushed himself off the floor and ran. Too full of emotion, Durgandh didn’t notice how truly slippery the stage had become. In a fateful moment, he found himself skidding and then falling off the side of the large stage and into the large river behind it.

With that… the legend of the greatest dancer in the world ended…

Or so it was thought.

Durgandh awoke some time later. His clothes had been removed, replaced with robes, his rings and medallion had been taken and set to the side on a little table. He pushed himself up off the hemp bed where he had slept and turned to his side, to see an incredibly old individual.

Durgandh was told that he had been found, drifting through a small stream only to be found by a dozen monks doing their daily cleanings and chores. They dragged him from the river, treated his wounds, and brought him back from the brink.

Durgandh thought back and in a flash remembered the context of how he fell into the river, it was followed by great shame…. He was no longer the greatest dancer… he was a sham…

He left the room, pushing past the old monk, who allowed him to leave. Durgandh ran from the monastery before finding himself on a large boulder on the side of a cliff, it had one hell of a view. In a fit of anger, Durgandh attempted to dance… and dance…. And dance…. He found that he couldn’t dance however, his rhythm was no longer pumping through his veins… his foot had lost its tap. He kept trying however, again and again, until he collapsed again, giving into exhaustion. Pushing himself off the ground, he found the same monk who had saved him was now sitting in front of him.

Giving in, Durgandh went back to the monastery with the monk, allowing himself to be healed by their arts.

Though this time, Durgandh decided not to return, instead, he stayed and joined the monastery of monks. He shaved off his famous afro, cut away the excess fur, made himself clean and gave himself wholesomely to the teachings of the monks.

The monks where followers of The Way of Feng Shui, a practice of creating harmonious surroundings that enhance the balance of yin and yang, as in arranging furniture or determining the siting of a house, or even controlling the flow of emotions and energy within one’s self.

The monks also followed the art of Martial Arts, a smooth, rhythmic, and dexterous set of movements meant for self-defense and further regulating the flow of energy. Durgandh found that although he was new to this, he was rather good, picking it up very quickly.

Durgandh trained with the monks in the ways of Feng Shui for some time, 2 years in fact. Durgandh during this time finally found it within himself to give up on the feelings of pain and shame that had haunted him for some time disappeared and he found himself able to accept it.

Durgandh had found inner peace with himself and the environment around him.

One day, Durgandh was meditating in a grassy field, when he was hit with an image that sprung from both his heart, and soul. The image was of him falling from the stage. His fall from grace.

It was then he knew he had unfinished business...

He ran from his place of meditation and approached the head monk, his mentor. With only a look, the old man understood.

With a smile, a bow, and a thank you, Durgandh went back to his residence and found a small box under his bed. In it, was a tiny flick comb.

Durgandh then began to run, run, and run towards the very city that was once his. It took him days of travel, but he eventually reached the city. Where his face once was on the build boards, the sides of cars, and on the tv’s, was now the face of the women who beat him. He would learn that her name was Haraana. She had taken his seat as the Queen of Dance.

So, he waited.

At a concert where she was signing autographs and smiling for the camera, he approached her. He wore a black cloak and a smile on his face. As he appeared before her, she looked confused but approached him with a smile and an open hand until he threw the cloak off, her smile became one of horror. The fans and paparazzi around them lit up with screams, cries, and yells. With confidence, Durgandh challenged Haraana to a dance battle as she had done 2 years ago.

And so they met atop the massive stage he once called his own once more. And danced!

They danced and danced, fire burned in their eyes, and blazed even greater than before. They danced for 2, then 3, then 4 hours! They didn’t stop, the fire and desire for victory seemed to burn in the air…

However, this time was different, Durgandh didn’t share the same fierce desire that he had shown before… no… he wasn’t dancing for that. Durgandh wasn’t dancing to beat Haraana, for the title, or even for his old life back…. All those feelings and desires… Were no longer.

He was dancing, simply, because he loved to dance. A whimsical and almost childish experience that he remembered from the very beginnings of his life.

It was on the 5th hour, that Haraana finally fell to her knees, and a cheer roared throughout the entirety of the audiance

Haraana’s eyes moved up from the floor, only to see the silhouette of Durgandh over shadowing her, for a moment, she felt fear. Had she made a mistake? Would her own desire to be number one and topple the king be a gilded dream?

For the brief moment that Haraana let her mind wonder, she felt a hand gracefully grab her own and pull her to her feat. Raising her hand into the air to share in the cheers.

It was a legendary moment, one many people would share and remember. The moment the King returned.

Durgandh eventually asked Haraana to get a cup of coffee since he hadn’t had one in 2 years, one thing led to another, and they became a couple. Haraana wasn’t a bad person, she was just another passionate soul who loved dancing, she wanted to prove herself. In fact, she was a big fan of Durgandh

Eventually the two got married and had a beautiful child! Durgandh stepped down from the spotlight, letting it go to whoever decided to claim it. He had nothing more to prove and no desire to continue on with that life. He had a new life now, one of love and family. The two lived on happily. Haraana and Durgandh dancing whenever and however they pleased. Living happily and wholesomely.

Eventually he created his own variant of Feng Shui, calling it simply, Funk Shui, which he considers his own personal ultimate form of dance. Durgandh regularly takes trips now to places all over! Spreading his love for dance and the teachings of Feng Shui to any who would listen.

He has had many titles in his life, but the one title he strives for now is the be the #1 dad! Or at least the best dad he can be.

Personality:
Durgandh is a lover, and optimist, and a very go happy person at heart. He’s incredibly confident in his abilities, even slightly over confident at times unless something is OBVIOUSLY too big for him to handle. He loves meeting other people, talking with and interacting with others is his specialty… other than dancing of course. Durgandh enjoys making friends, although he very much loves talking and interacting with people he deems interesting and out of the norm. He thinks uniqueness is a gift, a gift that should be appreciated and loved.

He loves games… as long as they aren’t violent.

Isn’t a fan of violence of the malicious caliber, will return it however with a sense of seriousness if he has too.

Takes many things lightly, probably too lightly sometimes, but he’d rather go with the flow.

He’s not a fan of water: Its mats his fur, messes with his afro… it’s just unpleasant.

COMBAT

Combat Style: Despite having claws, he never uses them to hurt others, deciding to uses his hands and feet instead. He’s very skilled in martial arts and while he’s nowhere near the level of some of the Monks in the monastery he originated from, is still highly skilled and a master of his own body. Durgandh is also adept at controlling the natural chi's in his body and in extreme cases can even project this chi onto the physical world in various forms.

Strengths:
- Incredibly fast and dexterous, incredible evasive ability.
- Pretty strong, not herculean in strength, but stronger than the average joe.
- Has a godly amount of stamina. Remember, this guy danced for 6 hours straight!
- Has his spiritual abilities.
- He’s pretty cool in most situations, rather calm and collected, his mind is clear and is hard to fog.
- In hand to hand combat, he’s almost untouchable, the mixture of dance and martial talent is incredible. He did create the Way of the Funk.
- Not super smart, he’s not dumb, but his mind focuses mostly on keeping himself clear minded and keeping himself DANCING~!

Weaknesses:
- Fish. It only gets worse when he’s hungry.
- The afro… don’t… touch… the afro.
- He’s pretty gullible, although he tries, he’s overly trusting.
- Again, overconfident. Not stupidly so, like *I can fight this mountain! * more along the lines that he doesn’t know he’s beat until you show what your made of.
- Water, he’s not a fan, he may be trained to accept the world around him, but he can still be uncomfortable.
- He also can’t swim. He can do various things to keep himself from drowning, but he can't swim.
- His family.
- His friends.
- Being shot at. Amazingly enough, other than some of his stronger tricks, he doesn’t have much in the way of avoiding high speeding objects or… you know bullets.
- Good music. If you play anything with a catchy beat. You can assume that he’s going to probably forget about what he’s doing and start enjoying that beat!
- He fears only one person, his wife.

Fun Facts:

He has a locket of his family, whenever he’s in a high stress situation or just needs some motivation, he takes it out and kisses it. He wants to be the best he can be for his family.

Puts himself in the way of danger far more then he probably should. He has a high set of morals, whenever he see’s wrongdoing, he’ll push himself into the middle of it.

Will always try diplomacy or any other form of communication before resorting to battle.

He loves fame, not because he has a large ego, but because he loves the attention and the people coming up to him and interacting with him. It’s always a new place or face, it’s all very exiting!
