Funny story: I saw two of these geese in San Marcos, Texas in 2015 (I live between there and Austin), and for years I’ve been calling them ducks. However, just a few minutes ago I was Googling their description to properly title this, and they’re not ducks, but geese! Additionally, this sub-species is not native to Texas, but they do pretty well here. I feel like a doofus for thinking they were ducks This card is going to one of my step-grandmothers, who was married to my step-grandfather. (I had three sets of grandparents at one point, both step and blood-related, so it can be hard to keep track of my grandmothers lol. Sadly all my grandfathers have passed on )
