I rather like how this is done, something of an urban warrior which is what the punisher is really.

Whoa Frank Castle looks well mean in this. He looks like a mobsters nightmare !
Love the body armour (and the mean gritty look you got going really looks good) .

Thanks brother. Nothing better than a pissed off vigilante with military training and black market weaponry, I always say, LOL.

Ho, ho, ho, this is fan-fracking-tastic. So gritty and moody. This is one soldier who has been to work, not like those clones that just fell off the assembly line you see getting around.

Yeah that was the idea...dirt, grime, sweat, and blood. The Punisher does not do clean work. As such I am no fan of the old fashioned version of him running around in black spandex wearing white gloves and boots, lol. I thought Ray Stevenson's portrayal of the character in latest movie installment "Punisher: Warzone" was probably the most accurate to date of what this dude would actually be like. I liked Thomas Jane's portrayal as well, but I don't feel like his was as "gritty" as it should have been until the last 20 minutes of the movie. So I decided to go with some kind of hybrid look here, something a little bit reminiscent of both films, with a few artistic liberties of my own, and not necessarily bound to the confines of the comic. And this is what came out...after 3 days in the works, lol. I'm having fun, sort of taking a little hiatus from my OC's and just seeing what happens when I put my own spin on some of these characters I'm fond of. Not sure who the next victim will be I have a list...

I can't say I'm very familiar with the Punisher other than a single comic I read when I was about 13 and some Megadrive games... oh, and a scene from one of the recent films, but yeah, I got the impression that he was a tough and rough dude with questionable morrals.

I know I've said this kind of thing before...a lot...lol...but do yourself a favor and at least watch Punisher Warzone. It's an entertaining romp and he is much less apologetic than the Tom Jane version. As far as his "moral" condition, he just does what most of us WISH we could do if placed in his position. He's a trained soldier, criminal element kills his family, he circumvents the piss poor judicial system and uses his government-provided training to carry out some well deserved street justice. To quote Tom Jane's version of the character "It's not vengeance...it's punishment". You can argue that two wrongs don't make a right, but let's face, we'd all do the same thing in his shoes. Have gun, will travel.

Heh, yeah I know there is a ton of stuff I really need to watch, even if it is just to have a more rounded knowledge of nerdom. True enough on the gap between being a disgruntled "consumer" of the justice system and taking matters into one's own hands too.
