Description I, myself, am working towards being a hexagon.

That would be awesome.

*NOTE: Yes, not all skinny people are "healthy", and she probably was saying she had not worked out in a while. But when you're dressed like that in a public place (not a gym) and then telling people you're out of shape, it sends the wrong message. Also, I'm terrible at drawing muscles or toned bodies so I failed at portraying that part

All in all, it is definitely more important to be fit and healthy than to just be skinny. And yes, just because someone's skinny, doesn't mean they're healthy... and vice versa: people who are a little larger are not necessarily unfit (Proof: imgur.com/x5fxQ ).

Props to this girl at Chaze Bank for going to the gym and working out, but it's not really necessary to tell random people that you're "out of shape".

Yes!!!Definitely! Is that some kind of fashion to be so pesimistic about our bodies? I don't even know how much I weight, and I don't care, but surely overweight (not obese though),I don't even do sports, and I'm pretty fine with how I look, even though I'm not really pretty Especially when you're skinny and complaining about being fat...Please,just stop it :-U

Real talk, though: I used to wear capris at the gym, until I got a VERY NASTY skin infection from gym equipment (even though I wiped down the machines before using them.) Took six weeks to get rid of, and my leg still isn't totally back to normal. I started wearing either long pants, or knee-high socks under my capris to keep all of my skin covered. Now, every time I see women wearing stuff like this I want to be like THAT'S HOW YOU GET INFECTIONS.

Okay when I say this, I mean that I can't run a single mile straight on a treadmill. Like I mean now it actually applies for me, that I could loose like, five, ten, whatever pounds. But I used to weigh 130 pounds and say this and just because that was my weight did not mean I could do anything, since I wasn't able to run a full mile.

Just thought I'd add my thoughts.

Whenever I see people like this, especially my friends, I want to slap them in the face. They complain that they're so fat when they're thin or just slightly chubby, get boyfriends, wear short shorts and go all out there when I'm here trying to lose weight and be more confident in myself. They ain't makin' it any better!Β

Than they're like "Gracie, you don't need to lose weight! I do!"Β
Peeps, I weight 184.5 lbs and you weigh, what, 110 lbs?Β

I can see that I have curves and stuff, but I just need to lose weight and become fit. And when I do, I guess I'll do active things once and awhile but I hope to never be like the girls that continue to eat less and exercise themselves to complete and utter unhealthy exhaustion.Β

Sorry...I'm ranting! Β

That's only if they were overweight to start with. I guess it just depends on the person's health before they start getting fit.

They could be thin but still out of shape :/ Being 'in shape' usually refers to fitness (at least in the context I usually hear it), but it's possible to be skinny and unfit (from lack of exercise or whatever).Β

Ennh, it's not even about health. My brother works out constantly and he's buff as shit, but he keeps going on about how scrawny he is, and no matter how muscly he gets, he'll never think it's enough. It's almost like anorexia, though much less life threatening.

Doesn't always have to be about a person who's not athletic looking to say that. I have tons of friends with "fit" bodies, are either thin or look normal. Most of them are in a really bad shape. BUT YES. I don't like hearing it from them. When I'm the one struggling at the gym everyday, to become what they look like xD It's frustrating

silentscreamer321 [2014-08-16 22:54:35 +0000 UTC]

Did you ever consider that perhaps she was a former runner or extreme athlete of some kind? People tend to stop working out for all kinds of reasons and begin to notice their bodies decline in physical endurance regardless of how "skinny" or how overweight they may look or be. Why make fun of an area of mentality with little consideration when you could talk face to face with people and find out how they really/might really want to see in themselves.
I do however agree that thing girls complaining about being overweight is annoying, everyone's belly rolls when they lean forward and keeping a body fat content of say 8% is an extreme challenge. So much so that that's the average amount body builders get themselves to for serious competitions. Ask any of them and they will straight up tell you it's a dangerous percentage to be at for too long. If they get below that then really bad damage can be done to their bodies.
Yeah . . I'm done ranting now. .

Allysonspanties [2014-08-16 16:53:44 +0000 UTC]

People become upset when people say things like this out of their own insecurities. Perhaps she does feel out of shape or that she's having difficulties at the gym. She should be allowed to voice her difficulties. Why must those who are into physical activity not talk about their interests because it does not interest those who are legitimately out of shape. I dislike action movies but when people talk about them I do not become agitated. Look deep into yourself and realize why you are becoming upset when others talk of their physical being.Β
