I made this a while ago but just found it now during my annual clean up.This was actually something that happened to me when I was 14 or 15, I don't remember. Anyway, I'm nicer to moths now and I appreciate their cute feathery antennas.

Here's a a general rule to tell whether it will become a butterfly or moth:
If its a cocoon made of silk, its most likely a moth
If its a chrysalis with an outer shell its a butterfly

My second grade class hatched a bunch of butterflies but I brought in a bug catcher full of cacoons that my sister and I caught as caterpillars. When they hatched they were moths and when we released them one flew into my teacher's hair...

back in the second grade we were supposed to raise monarch butterflies unfortunatly nobody told me that you're supposed to buy the caterpillers and I kept trying to look for one in a place that isn't their natural habitat... so inevitably I failed and at the last minute I picked up a random tiger moth larva

I had to "save" one of my room mates from a moth about a year ago. Trapped it in a cup and put it outside. She was screaming like it was gonna bite her. XD
