10/16/87: Amtrak F40PHs emerge from under the old Chicago Post Office at Polk Street in a view you will never see anymore because the new post office was built on this site. I have a ton more photos I scanned but this was the only one I saved because my flash drive decided to be a bitch and need to be "formatted" so I'll need to re-scan! I'm so PISSED!Related content

A book i have, on train stations of chicago. I think the photo was taken a little further south, but it has a few photos showing the PRR freight warehouse before and during demolition. That was a solid looking building!

Oh the PRR...that was on the east side...I know what building you mean. It was awesome. At this moment I am scanning my CUS pics from October '87...you will see that a bunch of electrical sub-station shit now occupies that land. Polk Street, such a great location...I wish I took more pics when I had the chance, but when you're 21, change seems non-existent!

In my lifetime, I've never enjoyed the end of a train ride into Chicago due to the smoky, black-roofed platforms at union station. Ogilvie Transportation Center is the only station with a boarding area befitting a city as grand as Chicago.

Because the scanner is hooked up to the desktop (fucking) computer ans I use my laptop for DA...Fuck FlashDrives I lost so much cool shit I didn't even post yet...now I have to re-scan!
