i made this comic last year in my foundation year doing fine art, the project was 'the body'
i did a lot of illustration in fine art even though it didn't really match everyone els' projects but my teacher (will) was so so so lovely and encouraged me to make a comic and this was the result, i saw him today and he said he still had my comic and i still have a little ceramic bowl he made me in return

this comic is about a girl dying and finding herself in purgatory
my inspirations were mainly jim woodring and its so obvious i took inspiration from him, i also wanted to implement my own personal ideas of death and purgatory
i always imagine dying as a bad acid trip and purgatory in my mind is an infinite forest or field you can infinitely walk through and theres small portals to earth everywhere so items from earth fall through sometimes, like parts of houses, cars, tombstones - anything really
but yea i'm posting all the pages here because i recently looked through it when making my portfolio and really liked it when i used to hate it just after i made it
