Had a strange dream where a dragon named Brightside lived as teller of truth to power. She had an enormous glassy geode growing from her side to mirror ur reflection. In dragon lore, you consulted your shining scales for wisdom. If u were "too dull", then u'd go to Brightside

Normally she worked as a soothsayer and consult of the dragon kingdom, but the rulers had grown corrupt. She was in hiding until it was discovered she was advising a rebellion.

They sent soldiers after her, many of which could not handle seeing their reflection in her giant mirror. But she couldn't avoid their attack (or tried). Her giant geode grew off her like a tumor. She was earthbound. She took her sentence bravely.

I was a young dragon in the party sniffing out resistance, until I found my friend inside it. And Brightside. Then I realized with horror that I was on the wrong side. Brightside was never wrong and committed to justice. And I couldn't betray my friend either.

She died under spears as we two flew desperately away to escape. On that flight I realized we would have to become new Brightsides. We didn't have a giant mirror growing from our hides, but we had voices. The duty of one turned into the duty of many. And I felt new resolve.
