Frame 8_z_ll of my Spear Storyboard Project. And guess what, now you can see it! That's right, you can see the entire thing at this link--> [link]It is a 52.5 MB Quicktime file, if you are having issues, just wait until it is finished downloading and then re-play it. A rough outline of the story is on the same page (for Lord's sake, don't read it until you've seen the movie, otherwise you'll be trying to keep track of all the details in your head).

Ah, looked it up. WMG is the company distributing VAST's music. I used "Touched" by VAST in the animatic, so I infringed on their copyright.

I'm overjoyed to find someone who does the same thing with music and stories that they've planned out in their head! I literally relate every new song that I hear and fall in love with to a vague plot I have involving numerous mythical creatures, very similar to the ones you have animated here, and I do think of it in the context of movies (ideally, there would be five of them, hah). I watched your animation three times over, and then bought the song from iTunes. It was very inspiring.

this is just beautiful, I love how silhouettes can convey so much emotion without that much detail. The simple forms convey a sense of peace and mystery that you can't get with a lighted image.

I just thought I'd say that I checked out the Project Spear movie, and ... it's amazing. Despite the choppiness of using cards and all, it's absolutely amazing, and the creativity of the species/atmosphere/plot is just a stroke of genius. The choice of music was excellent, too, and as Kay said it was perfectly timed with the action and such.

The funny thing is, I do the SAME EXACT THING when I listen to music. Once, while listening to an Enya CD, I imagined this whole story somewhat like yours. Exept it, um... involved a war between mutant goats and mutant sheep... he he...

I just watched the animation now... And OMG. It so rocked. I loved that music, and it went along really well with the animation... All those frames, it must've been so much work!
I hope one day a group of spirited animators will get together and make this a full length movie and also recreate watership down.
