Oscar and Maddy, two out of my four pets, and the two most insane ones. If they got a hold of some dynamite I seriously would not be surprised if this happened.One's a ferret, the other a cat. Both have mental issues and are the best of friends. When you put them together, you get this horrible Frankstein monster of psychosis. I swear Oscar the ferret is the more sane of the two, if you can believe it.
Oh lord...what will they do with that dynamite? *shivers*

i have two dogs by the same name. Maddy is a corgi, and she is kinda weird. Oscar is an ancient weenie dog who only gets "alive" when my cats are running around the room. it is hilarious. my two cats, Snuffles and Mad-Eye, would probably be the ones to do this. lol ^_^

Not even remotely close, I live in New England. We got Maddy (a female cat) as a itsy bitsy kitten all the way in New Orleans. I knew her grandma and ma too, so I'm afraid she isn't your cat.
I'm sorry for your loss though. I lost a cat once only to later find out he got hit by a car.

No. I'm pretty sure my fat ol' Copper is living with someone else. He came back on Christmas like, five years after he ran away. But then he left again. And we're not near any cars. We were surrounded by houses. x)

If I could draw animal as well as you do, I would've drawn tons of pictures of my dog and my friend's cat. They're both kinda... Silly? Dumb.. 
Anyways. I like your style. The coloring is very realistic and your characters are comic-like. They look good together.

Draw them anyway, whether it looks good or not. Practice is the only way you can get better. Observe your pets in action and try making quick gesture drawings of their motions. If they're sleeping or still, look at their faces and bodies and try more detailed sketches. Observation and practice make perfect.
