Omg. Jerome's my favorite. Although Cory isn't too far behind. x3

I like 5 the best, right now. Honorable mentions are 2 and 1. One little detail I should point out is that his tail does not bend. It can probably widden at times, but it doesn't change the direction it is pointing at- it's pretty stiff. But other than that, you are getting him down fine!
I fixed Ravage's nose, so we can confirm which poses we like so we can both start to render them.

Eh you're right! And you've been paying attention to bird anatomy too, unlike me. I remembered the toes, but only after drawing pose number one (see my oopsie comment). Woodpeckers have two toes back, two front (like a parrot), and I remember somewhere learning that their tails are stiff and fortified so they can use them as a brace against the tree.

Exactly. That's why their tails are stiff.
If you're this much of a fan, look in numerous places to find that Jerome has three toes in front instead of two!

Yes, I noticed that in your references drawings, especially the first reference pic where he's saying "Man, this joint blows" (I must resist the urge to put a toke in between his wing-fingers...)
