Description
For the record, low-light rail photography is best done with a tripod or monopod.
Here, the eastbound half of the equation powers up out of the siding at Hays, KS, shortly after the
westbound
rolled through. The Sharon Springs subdivision may be mostly unit coal drags and grain trains, but it has some nice backgrounds to go with it all.
I know, it's on the noisy side, and I tried as best as I could to get rid of it in Photoshop without losing resolution, but some stuff you just can't help.
Canon EOS 30D
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM
ISO 1600 @ 1/100, f/8
