I don't know WHY I colored this. It's really old, so some of the clothing designs (Jake's jacket, Mattie's shirt) not to mention Matt's lack of stump (Though that's confusing, how much of his body he has depends on how much he accepts that the lands he no longer has aren't his... so this might be right after he lost them. Again, confusing) aren't canon. I also decided to try and go back to how the clothes were originally meant to be....On the left we have a little gag centering around how Matt manages to stay balanced in action... he adds weight in his empty sleeve! He just so happens to use guns! It's a silly joke, really.
On the right... the Confederacy being Con. Yes, he laughs at things that would strike Mattie and Jake as Dead Baby jokes (At least, when it deals with those two). Jack tends to find the fact that Mattie is missing limbs hysterical. And Union is drinking Coca-Cola.

Nah, Just about everyone prefers Coke, I find. Pepsi is just cheep enough that schools use that as their default soda.

I know (I moved to Ohio about a year and a half ago), but I've always thought of Coke as more of a southern thing for some reason. Maybe it has something to do with my mom (a Tennessean) acting like drinking Pepsi is the end of the world.

Unfortunately the story's still in the planning stages. As for the cosplay you're planning, I'd look up tutorials on Ed's Automail from Fullmetal Alchemist should give you ideas for the construction, and as for the shape, It should be around somewhere....

kays... that helps a lot, though for the arm I might use gold or copper paint and just use my real arm... depends... though the foot will be difficult.

Brass is generally how I picture his arm, so look for that, if you can. And the Foot could be made with a boot-cover like design, modified to keep it looking like two distinct parts hinged together.

hmm, that really helps... so broze paint with black lines to create grooves and such then try to plan out the foot... mmm, maybe a black shoe underneath with the cover overtop, maybe with a tiny heel or something.

1. i LOVE YOU for putting this one up. i have a terrible soft spot for my own shitty puns, and i was hoping some of them would make an appearance XD

3. i apologize for my terrible handwriting and hard-to-understand light sketches... i'm not saying anything should be changed on this, but i'm mildly OCD about explaining myself to people so: con calls him "kid", not "lad". also, mat's pupils are both meant to be pointing at jake in the last panel of the gun one. looking at my sketchbook, i completely see how both things would happen when being interpreted by someone else oTL tldr; i have shitty handwriting so if anything is ever unclear, feel free to pester the hell out of me to see what a was failing to convey
