Fantastic perspective! I'm just catching up with all your wonderful work again Jeff and I've noticed that you have now been posting the original photo references to go along with the art. It's quite interesting to see what it used and what is not used, in addition to how much overall work goes into the piece. Splendid indeed! Having said that -- and I'm sure you've been asked this a hundred times or more -- are the backgrounds from your imagination or do you use a photo reference for this aspect of the art as well?

It's hard to pick a favorite part of this image, so I'll just list the things I like:
The gremlin, all posed and ready to pounce on his prize.
The curve of Elina's body as it recedes in the frame.
The look of consternation and worry on Elina's face.
and...
Her hair. Always.

Fantastic image, and I can't say often enough how much I love the way you draw her hair ... but it also needs to be said that as much as I love the glasses, Elina is flat out gorgeous with or without them. I'd love to give you credit for that but ... clearly Emily has given you a lot to work with! Thank you both!

Man, this image is simply breathtaking (no pun intended...ok maybe a little). Emily's proper posing and your details on Elina are simply beautiful. The detail in her emotions - WOW!

My first impression was what a lovely, sinuous pose Elina has taken, much more deliciously serpentine than "tasty worm", that's for sure! My complements to artist and model!!
Second impression, and I know that there are some that will disagree, is how very attractive Elina is, now that her glasses no longer obscure her features. I can't deny that they suited her perfectly up 'til now, but with the change that I suspect is coming for her, I like the idea of an alteration in her look
Third impression is, from the fierce determination in his expression, and the way his eyes are focused, I would strongly suspect that Gus is aiming to rectify his earlier failure to separate Elina from her key on a permanent basis. Whether he'll succeed is another story, but he certainly looks like he's going to give it the old college try. In that light, my suggested last stanza is:
"Grab the key, she'll never be free"
I have a strong feeling that her actual binding may be brought about by whatever it is that's been pursuing her along the corridor, making those very suggestive rope-swishing sounds. To which notion I can only say, YES! YES!! YES!!!
This really is a very, very, very tasty image.
edit: And her hair just rocks!

That little gremlin surely had a long time ambition to play a role in "Beauty and the Beast".
Kick him, Elina !

The picture would suggest the featherlight touch is Gordon the Gremlin making his way for a dive at the necklace or some other nefarious purpose, but I suspect Elina will find out that it's something far worse, the slithering grasp of cocooning cords driven on to snare her fully and finally.
Worse, for Elina, if she gives in to anger and swats Garret Gremlin, only to find the time spent ridding herself of this nuisance has cost her any chance of escape.
