Drea raises the impaled figure high, letting the Spear take the full weight and motion as the weight of fury and dark satisfaction presses inward upon her mind. She watches as the energy of the weapon courses through the torso, limbs, and head before her, severing and snapping, breaking down all semblance of the figure to what it was moments ago. As the cohesion is destroyed, pieces break free and fall, desperately shifting into a smaller, less complex form of half-life that is systematically drained by the Spear's black hunger and reduced to ash. The figure's hair, once lush, long, and curled, is singed away or shortened into wiry bristles, turning white with death, and then vanishing entirely. The fingers and hands convulse and crack, growing talons and then shrinking to stubby, ash-gray appendages as their substance is corroded and consumed. The torso arches backward, all-but-resting on the Spear's white tip, as spine and ribs shift and splinter into a more bestial figure, then fold and crumble. The skull, flowing between human and animal structure, loses its features entirely save for the ears that struggle for some hybrid shape and fail to find it.

Sickened, Drea turns her eyes away. The ground at her feet is scattered with dying motes, plague-worms, gremlin flesh, rat fur, and human dust, all falling lifeless and drained of the animating power that held them together. The small shapes struggle for some grasp of sorcerous breath that the Spear rips away before they are snuffed out entirely.
