ok still no pen so i am still uploading old stuff this has been on my comp since late February i believe, so it been a wile

-------------------story-----------------

so these are new arrives to Free Hearts.

the story is that and animal rescued the mare from a bad situation (hey didn't give many details) she was pretty skinny but they could tell that see was pregnant, so saving her was a must. when she arrived at the shelter she was what they guessed about 9 months give or take. she was at the shelter about a month before they called me up. they asked if i wanted to come down and see the mare. i willingly came down to check her out i was looking for a new mare and she would make a nice addition.

when i got there i saw her she looked quite peaceful, she was a beauty. i walked into her pen and walked up to her her peaceful state immediately changed to fear and she began to back up. "easy girl easy" i cooed to her hoping to calm her down. i took a few steps forward she lashed out at me. "whoa easy" i said. the care taker came up to us. "she has quite the temper as you can see, we were hoping maybe you could help change that?" i looked at the mare and then at the woman. " i think i can help her but when her foal comes she going to be a handful she going to be quite protective." she looked at me " i thought you'd say that, so i am guessing your not going to take her?" she said. "i never said that i just said she's going to be a handful, bu i wont give up on her i can see promise in her. "

1 month later

the mare arrived at my barn in much better shape then the first time ai saw her she was far less skinny and had some meat on er bones and she was growing fatter i was expecting her to foal very soon. she still seemed o have no interest in me or any of my other stable hands but she took quite well to all of he others.

a few day later she had been doing well and hat evening i went to bed and was awoken when a stable hand of mine came rushing up saying that the mare was foaling. i came rushing down to call the vet.

the next morning both the mare and foal were in good hands happy and healthy. i walked in to check on them both but the mare wouldn't let me withing five feet of the young colt.

i came back everyday for 2 weeks with no progress. the next day i came with an apple. " her sweets, i have something for you. come here lovely. " she looked at me then at the apple. she came forward still keeping herself between the foal and myself. "come on love, its ok." she came and took a small bite of the apple. she came in for a second and as she did that i reached my hand out to pet her. she allowed it i rubbed her neck tenderly and she finished the apple and still letting me keep my hand there. " you know i haven't properly named you yet sweets. you or your foal." i rubbed her neck a bit more. " i know i'll name you Unquestionable Love, because you love that foal enough to not let even me near it haha." she looked and me and seemed to approve. then looked down at her foal. " oh you want me to name him to don't ya. let me see his name will be Dream a Better Dream for now that he's here he can live happily and not go through your struggles." she approved. i removed my hand from er neck and moved towards her face. she moved it back a bit but let me pet it. "that all you needed a little bit of love" i left the stall and the mare and foal went back to what the were doing i hoped that this would go well.
