Description I've remade THIS drawing from one year ago.
It's a portrait of a cute friend of mine. She cut her hair since the last portrait XD

I used Autodesk SketchBook Copic Edition again, that's why the colors are the way they are

Anyway, I think there's some improvement and I'm happy with the result. (it's a quick sketch... I've made it in like 30 minutes)

that's okay
Yeah, i know exactly how you feel i used to have a different style in almost all of my drawings but with time it just settled down and became more consistent; though none of these drawings are on DA. They're still piling up around me

I think if you just keep at it will come with time ^-^

Consistent! That's the word!
I want my style to be more consistent! °C°
And I guess it just needs time...
But let's face it: in the end nobody is really happy of its art (this means continuous improvement usually )

Digital copics give a really cute effect! But they are a bit difficult for me XD

And I'm really happy you like this!!

You're welcome! ^.^

And you do a better job with them than I can, I suck. XD I somehow don't like the feel of digital version very much, even though I've never used real Copic markers (since they're expensive), but I think the real ones do a better job than the digital edition. Though, that's just my personal opinion.

I agree with you
I tried some markers that were somehow similar to copics, but I failed with them...
Real Copics must be really awesome for sure!! I've never tried them (for the price), but I see what people can do with them *C*
Digital copics are nice and have a cute effect, but cannot compare with the real ones. In fact, I mostly use that program for basic sketching and greyscale copics for the shadows. I tend to avoid colors XD

Really? Well, I've looked at ProMarkers and even Prismamarkers...They're cheaper than Copics. I haven't used them either though. I'm sticking with my Crayola ones for now even if they aren't as good as the fancy brands. xD But I have seen people do pretty amazing stuff with Crayola, so that means that even cheap art stuff can work good, if you know how to use it. xD

And I see. xD

I rarely color in traditional, but when I do I use colored pencils. I'm not able to use anything else... (and probably my markers are heavier than copics on paper, so they are impossible to use well for me XD)
I should practice some traditional coloring... o .ò
(I have some pro watercolors... I could give them a try. I love watercolor effect! *C*)
And you're right! You don't actually need expensive stuff to do good things. Regular brands, like faber-castell, stabilo and kooh-i-noor aren't expensive and works pretty good. (i actually don't know about good and cheap markers brands XD)

Yeah, me too, I don't do a lot of traditional either. I honestly hate sketching in either medium, but it's better digitally because you can easily erase or hit the "undo" button, and also the "Move" tool works wonders when trying to position something right. In traditional, if you've drawn a big chunk of something and then realized, it's not positioned the way you want it to be, you have to ERASE ALL THAT WORK and start over, and that is a pain in the butt. At least for me, anyway. But yeah, I mostly use colored pencils, but I would like to use markers more (they're more fun xD), and using paint. (I use Crayola Paint too...Crayola is da bomb, lol XD)

Lol!
I can't live without ctrl+z. I'm too addicted to the undo button XD
And the move tool is a blessing
The layers need so much appreciation as well. They are like artists' magic trick
Layers in traditional art are uncomfortable and you can't use them for coloring (not to mention that you need a lightbox for that)

But I really enjoy traditional sketching. Almost all of my drawing exercises are traditional stuff.
I love pencils so much! And erasers! XD

Yes, exactly!

And just drawing on ONE sheet of traditional can be annoying enough -_- "Layers" in traditional, is mostly when you're doing animations, though. Pretty much just making a still drawing, you just need one sheet xD At least that I know of, haha.

And I absolutely loathe erasing XD
