Description Woohoo, it's done! This is my ludicrously late birthday/Ireallywantedtodrawhercharacters gift to the awesome ! Athaldin the elf and Tanderadan the war elk belong to her!

This was my first full digital illustration that was not based upon my own story and characters. I'm very pleased with the results! My favourite thing is Tan (he's adorable, come on!) and just, well, everything. I'm very proud of the composition and I believe that this is one of my best works yet! There's obviously things that I don't like about it but I won't list them (and I'll thank you dearly for also not listing them unless you are the owner of this piece - Wrennars ) but I'm the kind of person who absolutely can praise themselves without shame. So I'm doing that. I am humble; I know my mistakes, but I think it's better to pat oneself on the back then say 'this is what makes this piece less than adequate.' I'm happy, so I am not doing that. I'm instead saying "Good job Rosy!" and calling this piece done.

Silly things that I couldn't help throwing in:

A (baby) hoary marmot - they're seriously one of my favourite mountain animals. Adorable, silly, gorgeous, greedy showmen of the Rockies. Trail mix please? (That's a joke - please don't feed wild animals. Ever.)

Red mushrooms with white polka dots! I've always loved these mushrooms, although I have yet to see one in person. I love mushrooms period - Rimer doesn't have fungi, so I went slightly crazy plastering this piece with them. (Note the shelf mushrooms that are in there too!)

Squirrel! Because everyone likes squirrels.

Random oak leaves because I like drawing those. Kind of in honour of the random oak leaves that we found on our property this year; we don't have an oak tree, nor do we know of one that is anywhere nearby us.

Large creepy beetles - because forests just aren't complete without them!

There's a couple of 'Easter Eggs' from Rimer hidden in here, primarily the flowers (I somehow ended up not referencing real ones, I am not sure why - so these flowers are distinctly Rimarian and you may have seen them in past illustrations of mine though a few are newly made up,) and some falcolf feathers. Kudos if you can point out where the Rimarian things are!

I had an awesome time creating this. I really hope that likes it and I look forwards to creating more awesomeness like this in the future.

Athaldin & Tanderadan (c) Wren - only for their use.
Art by me.

So many mushrooms! And so many poisonous ones XD Never eat one with red cap and white dots

Thisis a very nice looking illustration! Looks a bit dark on my current screen though... But it gives a nice feel of dark and deep forest!

Yes, I love them! They're my favourite thing to photograph (besides scenery and animals) when I am out hiking. Haha good thing I avoid eating wild mushrooms completely. XD I'm probably missing out on some super tasty stuff but I stick to the grocery store variety because I feel it's safer. XD

It's probably your screen, perhaps you have the brightness settings turned down? I know when I have my computer's battery settings turned to 'energy saving' things get harder to see. I always check my works' colours on my parents' computer and it looked fine on theirs; it isn't meant to be creepy! Thanks though!

I see, I see >w< Well, I'm used to shroom picking culture around here although am not participating myself (as don't really like to eat mushrooms), do know of some poisonous ones. They are interesting to look at though!

And it's probabl my screen. It sometimes acts odd...

Screens can be super finicky! The ones at my university used to drive me nuts haha.
