Falcon walked along the dark streets of the Mezzo marketplace. It was fairly late at night, but she couldn't sleep. She had pretty much settled into living on Mezzo, since she had arrived almost 6 months ago. It was still weird though that she hadn't seen many of her friends from back at JMA, aside from Kraken and Strum, despite the fact that she'd heard there were actually a lot of them living on the island now. Or we're they even my friends to begin with? The thought had been haunting her ever since she had arrived. That was the main reason that she was out so late, walking the streets. She also just enjoyed the peacefulness of it, the three full moons and clear night sky, the quiet of nighttime, and the soft sounds of animals and crickets coming from the forest, starting to reemerge after a long winter. Her bright scales certainly showed up in the dark shadowy streets as she passed under the flamesilk lamps that lit the roads at night.

Meant to represent this scene from a PPAU rp. I thought the song was very fitting for Falcon’s doubts about her old friends really being her friends, and how her dreams are often haunted by that thought. The faded out bust of her good friend Kraken above her is meant to represent the dreams and doubts that haunt her. She isn’t crying in the rp scene, but I felt like adding that for effect. Her mouth is open to show that she’s saying the lyrics of the song, or just the ‘Hello darkness my old friend, I’ve come to talk with you again...’ (The first verse of the song). Her doubts about her old friendships from JMA and her realizations that she was so rude to them at the time and may not deserve them is meant to reflect my own feelings, certainly not to her extreme however. I’m very proud of how this turned out, since this is the first time I’ve drawn a forward-facing fullbody.
