Another sea slug, as requested by ~zincuddlefish , this time more accurate to a real species. It is Chromodoris kuniei - wiki article here: [link]The colors were so hard to get even close to right! I had to do so much layering.
But it was fun. 
I'm gonna do more of these.Made out of needle felted wool over a wire armature so it can be posed (especially the "eye stalks" heehee). It's about seven inches long.
I haven't decided yet if I'm putting it my etsy shop [link] or not...

ahaha, no way! i just cast a little bronze sea slug, and i'm playing with some wire and woolfibre to felt some other little creatures, and i've been thinking to myself, 'felicia, you need to ask davina for a proper how-to on those little adorable animals'

Sooooo cute and beautiful. It looks good enough to eat, like a little desert beastie (of course I would never eat the poor thing though) I love its wavy body and how you did the underside. The eye stocks are awesome and I love that they can be posed. Gosh felting is so interesting to me. I have tried to look it up but never understand. If you ever get the chance I would love to see works in progress as you go.

I've been working on a step-by-step snonkey creation. I hope it will help make felting understandable! It would be better if I could make a video of it but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.
