Very pretty and stylised! I love the hair and the flowers, and the little splashes of red.
I'm hardly an expert on watercolour but I do use it a lot, and it takes a LONG time to master. Definitely grab some books and look at the techniques inside, for example wet-in-wet painting, wet-on-dry etc. There is a book called "Dreamscapes" by Stephani Pui Mun Law, which I highly recommend for fantasy painters. She also has a dA, if you haven't seen it already
Watercolour always dries much paler than it looks when wet, so always go a little brighter than what you want the finished product to look.
Beautiful work for a first attempt at watercolours! Keep it up and I'm sure you'll love them ^_^

Wow, she has some amazing art!
Actually, I was given a watercolor art book a few Christmases ago-- I should take the time to read it. :]
Thanks for the input!

Yeah, she's definitely one of my favourite artists!
No problem, sorry if I chattered on a bit; I just adore watercolours. Good luck with your painting! ^_^

Lovely! The only thing I have to say, and I could work on this too, is that the arm looks a little weird. Maybe it's just me? Still, I love it!

For me, fingers are the worst part... fingers and faces. They always end up looking disproportional.
