Birthday: 12/1/14350 day/month/year in the universe the species is made for (For earth, as of the time this is posted, it's 46 days away. It occurs every 240 days.) 
Gender: There's only one for this species. He/him.

Personal info - (it says you 'can' keep it private, so I'm assuming it's optional. It's easier just putting it here with everything else.) 

Personality: 
 -Negative: Deceitful, leaning towards selfish, prickly, rude, holds onto grudges, violent in stressful/fearful situations
 -Neutral: Stubborn, vocal, eavesdropper, can keep any secret, enjoys nature and places without people. 
 -Good: Has a soft spot for others that're disabled, strategist, knows when to leave someone alone, will investigate deeper into someone to make sure they're who they present themselves to be, very clean and orderly. 

History: 
 Once his blindness became apparent, his parents who had been considering the option anyway made the decision to give him up for adoption. He's had a history of drug use, though he's been clean for 12 years (8 earth years). For the line on his eye, horn-like hat, prickly nature, and the fact that he was given up as a kid, he's been called hellspawn and suffered a bit of abuse from it. Nothing that damaged the soul, just shell damage. 

Likes/dislikes: 
 -Likes:  Non-visual puzzles, spicy foods, fast paced lyric-less music. 
 -Dislikes: Everything else. Well, almost everything else. Especially jackasses/strangers. Clastrophobic, hydrophobic, lose-my-hat-or-gloves-phobic. 

Class info: He was employed to keep en eye on the small nation of skeletal people that had broken off and away from the government when a new power came into being. So he has spy capabilities. An understanding of motives, knows how to eavesdrop without getting caught, sneaky. Magic and all that is all part of the species and is already explained below.

-Strength: (can only lift about 9 lbs. Little under average for the species. Don't think a negative is allowed here tho.)

Additional notes specific to this character - 
 - blind. (there also isn't normally a vertical line in the eye disk)
 - Elemental Air magic
      - He's able to function fine being blind by either tapping Senses and listening, or utilizing his Elemental magic. Because of this, he has nothing stored in physical magics and minimal in the mental magics. There are long periods of time in which he's truly blind because he has to store Senses in order to use them later. While storing, he cannot use his neutral elemental power. If it's raining or foggy he also can't use it very well. So while elemental is his favorite and doesn't require storing, it's got a lot of limitations. At the time of creating this character, he probably has about 5 hours that he can double his hearing with. 
 -Does in fact wear high heels, though he has quite a bit of experience with them. Halves his running speed, until he takes them off. 

More about the species and magic in general: 

Magic is utilized with three magic items. Hat, right glove, left glove. There's also Neutral magic which doesn't require any item. Each one has certain traits, and you can only use one at a time. In order to use a trait, you must store it first. So if you want to be extraordinarily fast, then you have to first be extremely slow for a length of time. In order to gain, you must first take away. So it's a balance. 
It takes time to store or tap powers - if you go too fast, then you risk magical whiplash which results in a coma. Sometimes it's only a day, other times it can be years. The normal rate is a 20% change from your basic stats per minute. So again, lets say you're tapping speed, and your normal speed is about 6 miles per hour when you're running. The first minute, you could be 7.2 mph, second minute 8.4 mph, tenth minute, 18 mph. The most you can store is reducing the stat to 0 - you can't have negative speed. You'd be completely unable to move. 
Neutral magic is a bit different - doesn't require any storing. You still cannot use any other magic item when using this magic. This magic includes Understanding, being able to understand what someone with a different language is saying, and being able to empathize. And Illusion. Illusion is just that, nothing tangible, and there's always these little fuzzy patches or holes in it, so it's normally quite easy to tell it's an illusion. 

The ability to use hat, right glove, left glove, or neutral magic is genetic. If you're born with no magic, you're what's called a 'stillborn'. It's a bit misleading - they're not actually dead. They're just a soul that is incapable of movement or functioning, or even forming their own body. If you have some of the magic abilities but not all, you're a transparent person. (example here - fanofluffstuff.deviantart.com/… ) There's a shell that forms around a soul around 6 weeks after the soul comes into being. So having some but not all the magics, that shell will be transparent and completely connected like the skin of a human. The shell is a bit harder to break than the skin of a human, like trying to break a chicken egg by pushing on both ends of it. It's easy to break it, but it requires an intention to break it. Any and all shell damage will repair itself with time, but if the soul underneath the hollow shell is damaged, then the shell will not reform over that. If there's extensive soul damage in the shoulder, the arm would lose functionality as well. Like nerves or blood vessels through the human body. If someone has all of the magics, then the child will be skeletal in appearance. Two transparents can have a skeletal child. They have the exact same physical capabilities as the transparents, and the shell that forms is still hollow. There's just little spaces between joints where the soul is slightly exposed and doesn't have a shell. 

The soul has two centers - in the chest, which is the center for stability, and the head which is the center for movement. The shell around the center for movement, the face, is able to move freely in normal expression. If the two centers are separated from each other, the person dies. If the center for movement is damaged, then the person will not be able to stop moving. Constantly tapping, constantly moving in some way. If the center for stability is damaged, then balance goes out the window, the shell becomes uneven in thickness from one area to the next, and the person become infertile. 

If a person has something touching their shell for a long enough period of time, that thing will begin to change in color and shape. This is thought to be because of a natural energy that radiates from the soul. If the person is transparent, clothing and other items will slowly become transparent as well. Material won't change. Clothing is the primary example. It depends on the personality of the person and is unique to them. The 'feel' of a character. If they start hanging out with a group of people they feel very connected to, the clothing may change to have a singular item that's similar among all of them. If a person gets a new outfit, it will start to change and become exactly like their old one. It's a process that can take months, or it can just take a week. Or anything in between. 

They still require food, water, breath, and sleep. No one knows where it goes - after it passes the mouth, it simply... disappears. It doesn't add to the persons weight. It vanishes. The side effects of not having those basic needs are the same as those for a human. They can also be choked, but the focus of pressure needs to be directly under the jaw, not just on the neck in general.

Those that are skeletal in form seem to have an uncontrollable desire to fly. It only makes itself apparent when the topic is brought up, or the possibility of doing so presents itself. 

Alchemy also exists, and can be used for numerous things - changing base stats, physical abilities, magic options, etc. But that's a topic that I'll talk about another time. This character cannot use it. 

In addition to the magic items and neutral magic, there's also elemental magic. It's a gene attached to that of the hat, but requires Neutral magic to work. It's much more rare because of the odd way it's set up. Earth - be able to detect (or 'feel') and manipulate anything solid within 5-20 feet (does not change material, and still follows laws of gravity while being manipulated). Water - be able to detect and manipulate anything liquid within 5-20 feet (same as earth). Air - be able to detect and manipulate anything gaseous within 5 - 20 feet. Fire - be able to detect and manipulate energy within 5-20 feet. 

Hat (miscellaneous)  - Aim, Senses, Items, Breath. 

Right glove (physical) - physical Speed, Strength, Weight, balance. 

Left glove (mental) - mental Speed, willpower, complexity, memory.

Neutral - Understanding, illusion, [elemental]

You can see that under hat is 'items'. You can store items in your hat, like a pocket. Nothing living will survive being in there, food quickly becomes moldy. Doesn't add to weight. It's often used because normal pockets aren't a thing, because if something is on their person for a long enough period of time it'll start changing to be like the clothing and lose all functionality. 

The average/basic stats for this species are as follows (if not mentioned, assume it's the same as human) 

Weight: 12 lbs
Speed: 15 mph (sustainable, 20 mph short burst)
Strength: 10 lbs 
Senses: 3x average human
Fall-height-and-still-be-mostly-fine: 25 feet (due to light weight and large surface area compared to that. This would be like a human falling 7 feet. Risk of a lot of damage, but still a pretty good chance of being okay if you do it right and are in pretty good physical condition)
