Description Halbryn still on the hunt for her twin Sollyn. As some of her skills decline with her extended absence from her home, and knowing she can never go back, Halbryn is adapting quickly. From Priestess to Ranger - the light bothers her slightly less (although she still hates it she learns to keep the sun at her back and make good use of trees and shadows). As you can also see, her outfit has changed - and perhaps it doesn't quite fit in with the human world, but remember... she has made friends with a few of the fae. Magic is magic - and it is wise to learn new things.

Technicals:
Makeup: takes 2-3 hours and is a combination of Mehron face/body paint, liquid latex, eyeshadow (as a setting powder), and eye pencil (for waterline on eyes and lipstick). Accessories are white eyelashes, purple contacts, high elf ear tips, and gloves. And yes, I do the makeup myself without help.
Costume: The tunic is a shirt I altered with extra material. The belt buckle was a plain one I decorated. The britches & leather pouch are made from scratch by me. Boots and Boot tops from walmart. The bracers are made by my sister Leah. The swords (training weapons - synthetic, but the weight and balance of real ones), wig, & spider jewelry (2 brooches, 1 necklace with preserved spider, & 1 metal ring) are all bought on Ebay. The corset, backpack, small whip, & chainemaille headpiece were bought at ren faire over the years.

P.S. - Yes, I put a lot of care and attention into this costume. Remember, it is not just random, but a special OC for me. That said, and its sad I have to say this, but do NOT steal my character or repost without permission. If you want details on how I make something, who I buy from, or how I do my makeup, please ask. Halbryn might bite, but I don't.
I still plan to do a tutorial on makeup - I have the pictures, just not the time to put them together... sorry for the delay my friends.

Thanks - and for the fave. It turned out better than I even thought - not bad for a shirt from goodwill and a yard of material thrown together in about 2 hours without a pattern except a thought of what I wanted. lol. I had material for a better shirt - but its a paler purple and I don't think it'd have the same effect at all... so I'll probably stick to this one for the most part. - and I'm giggling that it made you squee - yayness!

Just posted a few in the sunlight taken by other people - the more I see it, the more I love the colors too - I'm starting to run out of ways to improve the costume I think...lol. Not sure if that's good or bad

haha! Well I'd say it's a good thing to show you're happy with the results definitely! And sometimes it's just some random piece of jewelry or item that you find later to improve/add on to a costume

I love you attention to detail in your costume. Where did you find your sword? It looks similar to a real one I have that I dance with.

Thank you - details are what brings it to life I think

I'm not sure if its the same seller - either I didn't save it or the seller is no longer on ebay. Here is a link to them now though (although I didn't pay nearly this much): [link] - and yes I do have the set, one is hidden by my body here.
More about them: These scimitar swords are hand crafted from a solid piece of High Density Poly, a high impact strength and high density polyethylene wich has excellent tensile, energy aborption, abrasion resistance, water/ salt resistant, and resistance to stress crackes.

Thank you, & for the fave! I love how the colors come together - and red/purple are some of the quickest colors to fade to black in darkness... it is very fitting in many ways. I adore this setting too!
