What a stunning photograph! It is not the first time a piece of work like this has appeared, and it won't be the last. But the Artist has pulled it off very well, and I commend them for that.
I am not a huge fan on how they have focused the camera. Because the petal that holds the drop, is so soft in some areas, and well focused in the other places, my eyes are not too sure where to look. They seem to want to look at the droplet, and yet are drawn back to the petal, and the little yellow speck on the flower.
However, the positioning of the droplet and petal is well thought out, enhancing the composition. If you look carefully, you will see that the droplet and petal are straight down the centre. This strengthens the photograph immensely.
As I have said, this photo has a concept that has been done a few times in the Art World. It does lack originality, however, this is sharply outweighed by the natural colours the artwork possesses. The beautiful soft pink that leads into an oceanic blue, is a fabulous contrast. And then we have the droplet. The droplet is the main centre piece, being so by its position in the photograph, and the bright colours it holds. I also can't help but notice how the petal is a leading line towards the droplet. Another technique, and it works.
A marvelous photograph, that although loses in the originality aspect, it has has a lot of other fantastic techniques and features to set it aside.

I may be wrong, but I thought the focal point of a photo should be at one of the 4 points according to Kodak's rule of thirds?
